TPU 87A
AdvancedThermoplastic Polyurethane 87A Shore Hardness
A softer, more elastic variant of TPU that feels close to silicone rubber. TPU 87A is significantly harder to print than 95A due to its extreme flexibility, but it produces parts with exceptional elasticity and energy return — ideal for true rubber-like applications.

טיפים להדפסה
- A direct-drive extruder is mandatory — Bowden setups will jam almost immediately with 87A.
- Print at 10-15 mm/s for the first few layers, then increase to 20 mm/s only if extrusion is stable.
- Completely disable retraction — the filament is too soft and will buckle inside the extruder gears.
- Use a constrained filament path with no gaps between the drive gear and hot end to prevent buckling.
- Reduce infill to 10-15% for maximum flexibility, or use 100% infill for solid rubber-like parts.
- Store in a dry box during printing — 87A absorbs moisture faster than stiffer TPU grades.
