Carbon Fiber PETG
IntermediateCarbon Fiber Reinforced PETG
PETG reinforced with short carbon fiber strands for significantly increased stiffness and a professional matte black finish. Easier to print than carbon fiber nylon while offering excellent rigidity. A hardened steel nozzle is mandatory.
Nozzle Temp230–260°C
Bed Temp70–85°C
Print Speed30–50 mm/s
Printing Tips
- A hardened steel nozzle (0.5mm+) is mandatory — carbon fibers destroy brass nozzles in a single print.
- Dry at 65°C for 8 hours. CF-PETG absorbs moisture faster than plain PETG due to the fiber wicking effect.
- Keep fan at 30-50% — enough to handle overhangs without causing layer delamination.
- CF composites are stiffer but more brittle. Design parts with radii instead of sharp corners to prevent cracking.
- Use 3-4 walls minimum. Carbon fiber adds stiffness but wall count determines actual part strength.
