TPC

Intermediate

Thermoplastic Co-polyester Elastomer

A semi-flexible engineering elastomer that bridges the gap between rigid PETG and soft TPU. TPC offers excellent chemical resistance, UV stability, and fatigue life while remaining flexible enough for snap-fits and living hinges. It is easier to print than TPU due to its stiffer filament path behavior.

Printing Tips

  • TPC prints more reliably than TPU — start at 25 mm/s and increase gradually if extrusion stays consistent.
  • Use minimal retraction (1.0-2.0 mm) rather than disabling it entirely, since TPC is stiffer than TPU.
  • A heated enclosure is not required but improves layer adhesion for tall parts printed below 30 mm/s.
  • TPC bonds well to PETG in multi-material prints, making it useful for soft-touch grips on rigid bodies.
  • Dry the filament at 60°C for 4-6 hours before use — TPC is hygroscopic and moisture causes bubbling.
