Printing Tips

  • Print 5-10°C hotter than standard PLA — PLA+ flows better at 210-215°C for most brands.
  • Reduce cooling fan to 80% for better layer adhesion while still maintaining overhang quality.
  • eSUN and Polymaker PLA+ are the most consistent brands — results vary widely between manufacturers.
  • PLA+ benefits from slower first layer speed (20 mm/s) more than standard PLA does.
  • For impact-resistant parts, use 3+ walls and 25%+ gyroid infill — PLA+ excels with thicker walls.
