PETG
BeginnerPolyethylene Terephthalate Glycol-Modified
The most versatile all-around filament for functional parts. PETG combines PLA-like ease of printing with significantly better impact resistance, chemical resistance, and heat tolerance. It bends before it breaks, making it ideal for parts under stress.

טיפים להדפסה
- Print the first layer slowly (20 mm/s) with the nozzle slightly higher than normal — PETG sticks TOO well to glass beds.
- Reduce cooling fan to 40-60% max. PETG needs some heat retention for layer adhesion but too little causes stringing.
- Use a retraction distance of 4-6mm (Bowden) or 1-2mm (direct drive) at 40-50 mm/s to fight stringing.
- Apply a thin layer of glue stick on glass beds as a release agent — without it, PETG can rip glass chunks off.
- Dry PETG at 65°C for 6-8 hours before printing. Wet PETG pops, strings badly, and has a rough surface.
- For food-safe applications, print with a stainless steel nozzle and seal with food-grade epoxy.
