Carbon-fiber Reinforced High-temperature Polyamide

PAHT-CF is the highest-performance carbon-fiber nylon available for desktop FFF printers, with a heat-deflection temperature exceeding 180 °C. Built on a semi-aromatic polyamide backbone reinforced with chopped carbon fiber, it targets applications where parts must endure sustained high temperatures, aggressive chemicals, and heavy mechanical loads simultaneously.

טיפים להדפסה

  • An all-metal hotend capable of sustained 310 °C and a hardened-steel nozzle are both non-negotiable requirements.
  • Dry at 90 °C for 12+ hours — PAHT-CF must be bone-dry to avoid steam pockets that catastrophically weaken layer bonds.
  • An actively heated chamber (60-80 °C) is critical; without it, expect severe warping and delamination even on small parts.
  • Print slowly at 25-35 mm/s with minimal to zero part-cooling fan for maximum interlayer fusion.
  • Use Garolite (G10) build plates or apply a thin layer of PVA glue to PEI — PAHT-CF bonds aggressively and can damage unprotected surfaces.
  • Route the filament path to minimize sharp bends; the stiff carbon-loaded filament can buckle in tight Bowden tubes.
