Nylon (PA6)
AdvancedPolyamide 6
The strongest common 3D printing filament with exceptional tensile strength, wear resistance, and fatigue resistance. Ideal for gears, bearings, and high-stress mechanical parts. Extremely hygroscopic — must be dried extensively and printed from a dry box.

טיפים להדפסה
- Dry nylon at 80°C for 12-16 hours before EVERY print session. Even 4 hours of air exposure degrades it.
- Print from a dry box with active desiccant — running filament through open air re-absorbs moisture in minutes.
- Use PVA glue stick on a textured PEI sheet. Nylon bonds poorly to bare surfaces and warps off smooth beds.
- An enclosed printer is mandatory. Even a 5°C draft causes corner lifting and layer splits on nylon.
- Print first layer at 10 mm/s and 0.3mm height for maximum bed adhesion before ramping up.
- Set chamber temp to 40-50°C if possible. Nylon shrinks 1.5-2% during cooling — uniform heat reduces warping.
