Bed Adhesion
PA6 nylon requires Garolite (G10) sheet or PEI with Magigoo PA adhesive at 80-100°C. A brim is essential. PA6 warps aggressively and must be printed from a dry box. Blue painter's tape with glue stick is an alternative.
Temperature Tuning Guide
Nozzle: 255°C
Range: 240-270°C. Printer max: 260°C.
- Poor layer adhesion? Increase +5°C
- Stringing or oozing? Decrease -5°C
- Print a temperature tower to find your exact sweet spot
Bed: 90°C
Range: 80-100°C. Printer max: 100°C.
- First layer lifting? Increase +5°C

Troubleshooting PA6 on Voxelab Aquila
Pro Tips for PA6
PA6 is harder to print than PA12 nylon -- start with PA12 if you are new to nylon
Drying is absolutely critical: 80°C for 16-20 hours, then print from a dry box
Garolite (G10) sheets provide the best bed adhesion for PA6
After printing, moisture-conditioning (boiling) PA6 parts can triple their impact strength
Support Settings
For prints requiring supports with PA6, use tree supports for easier removal and less scarring. Set a 0.15-0.2mm Z-distance between support and model. If you have a dual-extruder setup, consider PVA (for PLA/PETG) or HIPS (for ABS) as dedicated water/solvent-soluble support material.
