PEEK Settings for Voxelab Aquila X2

Recommended slicer settings for printing PEEK on the Voxelab Aquila X2 (220 x 220 x 250 mm build volume, 180 mm/s max speed, Bowden extruder).

The Voxelab Aquila X2 has a max nozzle temperature of 260°C, which may be below the minimum recommended 370°C for PEEK. Printing may be possible at the lower end of the temperature range but results may be suboptimal. The max bed temperature of 100°C is below the recommended 130°C for PEEK. Adhesion may be poor without additional bed adhesion aids.

Que faire à la place

  • Your printer's hotend maxes out at 260°C, but PEEK needs at least 370°C. No amount of tuning can overcome this hardware limitation.
  • Your printer's bed maxes out at 100°C, but PEEK needs at least 130°C for reliable adhesion.
  • Try a compatible filament for your Voxelab Aquila X2 — PLA, PETG, and ABS are good options.
  • If you need PEEK specifically, you'll need a printer with an all-metal hotend rated for 370°C+ nozzle and 130°C+ heated bed.

Points forts

  • Heat resistance up to 250°C continuous
  • Exceptional chemical resistance
  • Aerospace and medical grade material
  • Biocompatible grades available

Points faibles

  • Requires specialized printer (400°C+ hotend, heated enclosure)
  • Extremely expensive (~$300-700/kg)
  • Needs heated chamber at 120°C+
  • Cannot be printed on consumer-grade machines
