Bed Adhesion
PA6-CF requires Garolite (G10) sheet or PEI with Magigoo PA adhesive at 80-100°C. A brim is essential. The carbon fibers reduce warping somewhat compared to plain PA6, but an enclosure is still mandatory. Print from a dry box.
Temperature Tuning Guide
Nozzle: 260°C
Range: 255-280°C. Printer max: 260°C.
- Poor layer adhesion? Increase +5°C
- Stringing or oozing? Decrease -5°C
- Print a temperature tower to find your exact sweet spot
Bed: 90°C
Range: 85-100°C. Printer max: 90°C.
- First layer lifting? Increase +5°C
- Elephant's foot? Decrease -5°C
- Let the bed fully preheat before starting
Troubleshooting PA6-CF on Anycubic Kobra 2 Plus
Pro Tips for PA6-CF
All-metal hotend and hardened steel nozzle (0.5mm+) are both mandatory
Dry at 80°C for 16+ hours and print from an active-drying dry box
PA6-CF provides excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio for structural applications
Seal your enclosure thoroughly; drafts cause delamination in PA6-CF
Support Settings
For prints requiring supports with PA6-CF, use tree supports for easier removal and less scarring. Set a 0.15-0.2mm Z-distance between support and model. If you have a dual-extruder setup, consider PVA (for PLA/PETG) or HIPS (for ABS) as dedicated water/solvent-soluble support material.
