Heavy Duty Soccer Net Replacement clips

While playing with my daughter at her elementary school, I noticed the clips holding the soccer nets to their frames were nearly all broken. I thought about trying to create better ones so I took a few rough measurements off a broken clip. I hadn't done anything about it when I saw a few days later that one of the nets was now just barely hanging on. On the way out, a long distance from the nets, I found what was probably one of the few remaining intact clips laying on ground in the walkway. I took that as a sign I was meant to do this little project for the school. I wanted to ensure they didn't all just break again,so added material around the loop. In my attached photo the original is on the left in white. My reinforced one is on the right in gray. It's roughly 50% thicker than the original through the area that will see the most pull.
