Description

This is my socket organization project designed to utilize only the space required for the various sockets, as opposed to socket rails. It uses a standard centerpiece that all fit together with a dovetail and is directional. I'm not sure why I incorporated the directional factor, but I just ran with it. The "adapters" are printed as needed and will all fit in the universal centerpiece with a nice click once the layers intertwine. It's a tight enough fit to stay in place but loose enough that it can be taken apart. There is a stubby and post version (for tube sockets) for 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 sockets. I think I'm going to pursue making some bit holders and potentially socket wrench holders that fit this same system. Eventually it will roll into a puzzle-like grid system that can be modular. EDIT: I print the adapters so they're laying horizontal. This takes a little support, but it comes off easily. You could also print them vertically as they would sit in use, but I prefer
