Description
This is a clone of a miter angle finder I designed. There are a lot of them out there BUT what this does differently than all the rest is give you a physical representation of the total angle perfectly divided by two and that physical edge can then be used to align the saw blade with the miter angle for a perfect cut. Example: an outer corner would be 90 degrees total or the two joining trim angles individually would be 45 degrees each. How it works is the individual legs are connected and synchronized by attached gears. The connection plate that gives saw alignment angle stays centered between the outer leg edge.
Print with supports for under gear teeth and the gauge alignment edge that overhangs.
Top screws need to rotate and bottom holes and screws should not. I plan to update this design to add a visible gauge that shows the divided angle that can be transferred to a saw that has angle markings. Second update, is to add a handle tensioner/tightener. And third, add movable edg
