Description

I wanted a box that could hold multiple spools and that I could easily put under my 3D-printer table. For me it was also important that all the spools could be replaced seperately, without the need to take all the spools out of the box. The final solution is a box that was bought from IKEA (It's the Samla 57x39x28cm 45l version), where there are two threaded rods mounted in the box. On the threaded rods are then 10 bearing holders mounted. These holders support the different spools and make sure the spools spin nicely. The filament is feeded through 5 different ports. On the outside of these ports, it is possible to screw in an pneumatic coupler (PC4-M10). These ports are designed on an angle, this improves the feed trough when the box is below the printer. These ports can be mounted in any orientation, so that it faces the printer. Below I'll list the needed parts to build this box. This example list is for a box that can hold 5 spools with a diameter of 20 cm and a width of 7,
