Description
This mesh can be printed in a rigid plastic such as PLA or a flexible material such as TPU. It is intended to be attached to an e-NABLE Phoenix hand palm using 13 small countersink head sheet metal screws. It's purpose is to eliminate the use of Velcro strapping in the palm. It can also be used with the Team UnLimbited Arm (http://www.teamunlimbited.org/the-unlimbited-arm/). When printed in a rigid material it is intended to be thermoformed to fit a recipient's vestigial palm using a heat gun or hairdryer. If a flexible material such as TPU (very strong yet flexible and can be printed just like PLA) is used there is no need to thermoform.
Two different designs with different thicknesses are provided. Both fit a right hand and should be scaled using the same factor used for the rest of the hand. If a left hand version is required simply create a mirror image using your slicing program.
