San Gennaro Catacomb Fresco, Napoli (21B)

The arched niche (arcosolium) for at least 2 burials is located in a hypogeum (a subsurface burial ground of greater size) in the upper level of the Catacomb. The niche is currently dated in the 3rd century AD and belongs to the oldest part of that level.
