Sculpture of an ox head, found in rue des Hospitalières-Saint-Gervais, in Paris, France.
There are two of them, on the wall of a school, which used to be a butcher's shop in a market hall. The sculptures were originally fountains, with water pouring out of the ox's muzzle.
They were created in 1819 by Edmée Gaulle. The scultpure is in an ancient assyrian style, and the ox is dressed to by sacrificed.
