The L1A1 Self Loading Rifle (SLR) was the standard issue service rifle for the United Kingdom. The SLR is an Inch pattern FAL, this means that it was derived from the Canadian C1A1. It also means that the L1A1 is mostly not parts compatible with the more common metric FALs. notably this includes magazines. So that means let's say that the Brits are fighting a county that uses metric FALs, if they happen to capture a collection of metric FALs they wouldn't be able to use any of them. And to add c
