Description
Arkebuza (Latin Arquebusum, German Hakenbüchse). Holy Roman Empire, 17th century Wheel arch lock (Radschloss). The Arkebuza is filled through a tube. The key is triggered like a clockwork mechanism, opens a shelf, adds gunpowder on the lock dial with sharp grooves, and lowers a knob with a fixed piece of pyrite or flint. The triggered spring screwed the caster into its grooves and sparked its sparks from pyrite or flint. The sparks ignited the gunpowder on the shelf and the fire passed into the
