3D Printed Toluene Hydrodealkylation Plant

This is a simplified toluene HDA plant, to go along with its 3D printed counterpart for classroom teaching. Fresh hot toluene is mixed with recycled toluene before entering a plug flow reactor which produces benzene, and high pressure steam as a byproduct. The liquid mixture is cooled repeatedly before entering a surge tank, allowing any hydrogen to be harvested before entering the distillation column.
